The film is about a fashion editor hates
horse racing but wins the horse racing to get his dream girl and his family.
It is the first movie
of Sai Dharam Tej that has astonished me. But his Subramanyam For Sale
(2015) and Tej I Love You (2018) are also good films. Though its
story is common but its cinematic style for the commercial purpose is different
from others. But one thing, you have to accept that his films are fan based.
His films have an impact of some south Indian blockbuster heroes, anyway.
Sometimes these films have used their photo banner in the film or big pictures.
But, there is lack of his creative performance or style. Always, anyway, he has
used other hero’s styles. I watched his movies except Pilla Nuvvu leni Jeevitham
(2014) his first debut, Nakshatram (2017) and Chitralahi(2019.
When I would watch his all movies, could give a common idea of his styles,
performance and skills. But his other
films are something common in styles, performance. And always, I have noticed a
lack of founding a strong character alike other South Indian hero for example
‘Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan or others.

But his Winner is something different
from others. Here, Jagapati Babu has performed precisely besides; Mukhesh Rishi
has performed well as the antagonist character. Actually, it is so different
that how a grandfather can reject his grandson. In other films, an antagonist
character has done all wrong activities. But never had they rejected their
blood anyway. Any person can do anything for money without rejecting blood. But
it is the main antagonist point to describe the film. Jagapati Babu’s
performance dialogues with emotion just astonished me. His others films casting
as antagonist character did not attract but here his protagonist characterization
has amazed. Rakul preet wanted to bluff his boyfriend. But at last, she has to
accept his love after she wins the trophy in the running race. I can swear that
Sai Dharam Tej has to work hard for horse racing in the movie. His hard working
is more in the film than any other watched film. Thakur Anoop
Singh has performed well in the film as an antagonist
character.

Prudhvi Raj
has also performed well thong his appearance was for minimum duration. But the
story seemed common but some different twist in the story has given a glamorous
meaning though it is a kind of sports story which has similarity to the film Jo
Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992) acted by Amir Khan. But there are some family
twists in this movie. These movies have same kind of story because South India
has a built genre. Here male hero has to be strong and powerful on the other
hand female heroine seems to be considered as supporting character of male
hero. So, there is no uniqueness of the heroine in these films. And they have
to be most glamour to the audiences and the directors make them according these
rules. But why? The only answer is the
audiences are watching them how they want to see. But all these are occurred
through director’s angle of view. The title ‘Winner’ has a relation to
the film story. Anyone can easily understand that it may be a sports story or a
game in which the hero will be winner. It is more predictable to them. Actually
films are of these kinds that commonly films are mostly predictable. But when
Director can show his own film making styles to the audiences, it will be
successful.
