Supreme (2016) is
an Indian Telugu action comedy film directed by Anil Ravipudi in
2016. The film is produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara
Creations and starred by Sai Dharam Tej and Raashi Khanna in the
lead roles though a kid Mikhail Gandhi is
in the centre of the story. In some other important roles, Kabir Duhan Singh , Ravi Kishan,
Sai Kumar, Veenit Kumar, Vennela Kishore and others have performed.

The film is about Jagruthi
Faoundation was founded to maintain social activities like so many schools,
colleges, hospitals orphanages, old age homes under thousands acres of land. But
a powerful mafia wants to grab the entire land making duplicate documents of
the land. He kills the owner of the land. But only heir, a kid, son of the
owner of the land is escaped from him. A taxi driver and local sub-inspector
help the orphan kid to reach in the court for justice. The residents got their
rights and the taxi driver (male) and sub-inspector (female) fall in love. The film
ends with their wedding.
It is also a fanbase film.
But the story is extra ordinary. Filmmaking style is different from Sai Dharam
Taj’s other film. It got a tremendous success in the box office but my opinion
is a taxi driver is in the lead role but why the theatrical poster is published
in a style where the lead character is seen with a horse. The poster would be a
perfect example of the film ‘Winner’ (2017). As that film story is about
horse racing.

But Supreme‘s story is totally different from Winner. Supreme
is about assistance someone to get rights through court. Then, ‘someone’ is
also a main character in the film that is the orphan kid (Mikhail Gandh). But like
other films, the main male character does not possess the strong power. That means
others help him to reach his goal. Who are they? They are sub-inspector (Raashi Khanna), the
father whose daughter got help from Balu and others. Acting, dialogues with
emotion of Mikhail Gandhi is praiseworthy. He has done his best. Natural acting
with natural dialogues with emotion would attract anyone easily. Sai Dharam Tej’s
actionable performance is good it would be better if he possessed the heavy
power to control the antagonists. Sai Dharam Tej and Raashi Khanna’s romantic
scenes are also laudable. Though the powerful mafia (Kabir Duhan Singh) is in
the main antagonist role but Ravi
Kishan has played his role such a way that he is the main antagonist character.
Actually his acting, performance is very laudable but sometimes comedy scenes
are common. As car thieves, Prudhvi Raj and Prabhas Srinu have played
their comedy roles well. Vennela
Kishore also has played his comedy and common performance. As comedy
musicians, Posani Krishna Murali and Srinivas Reddy have played perfectly.

Overall director Anil Ravipudi has
made a successful film. The film has been successful in the box office and got
many positive reviews. As a commercial film, it is an entertaining film that
would entertain you with action, comedy and romance. But as a fanbase film it
would lose its own aura. Audiences would come to watch the film for its own
creativity not others. If they want to watch other hero’s film, they would
easily watch the films of Mahesh
Babu or Pawan Kalyan or
others.
