Muskaan (2004) Indian Film Review

Aftab Shivdasani and Gracy Singh in Muskaan (2004) Muskaan is a romantic hindi language Indian film directed by Rohit Manish in 2004. Muskaan is a hindi term. Its meaning in English is Smile. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and N.R Pachisia. The film is started by Aftab Shivdasani and Gracy Singh in the leading role and there are other characters too in the supporting role. Aftab Shivdasani as Sameer Oberoi and Gracy Singh as Muskaan play their roles. The film is a romantic one but in the ending time it looks it is a crime romantic film. Plot: Sameer is a dashing and debonair fashion designer. Jahnvi, Satin, Sharad and Shikha are also group members of Sameer's fashion designing. Muskaan lives in hostel with her friends.one day a wrong call comes to her from Sameer. After that they become friends and at last they fall in love with each other but Muskaan don't want to lose him as she has lost her mother and father's love. So, she keeps secret hee name and doesn't tell to him. But in Shimla a city in India they fortunately go in a same bus. But don't know each other. They stay in the hotel there and become friends and at last fall in love when Sameer's friend Jahnvi is murdered and he (Sameer) is confident to find the real murderer. At last they get a clue (Cassette tape) of the murder that night Jahnvi phoned to his father and it is recorded. The police arrest Satin. Sameer and Muskaan find their real love at last by singing a same song. Muskaan Film Poster Personal analysis and review: There are some popular songs in the film that attract me greatly. But the acting is normal and somewhere overacting. But background music is just awesome to me. The main thing of the film is there is emotional situation in the film. It attracts me extremely. Somewhere, cinematography is awesome and normal editing style that I like mostly. But one thing I noticed in the movie is that the film seems it is lengthy. Sometimes, I think if the events were ended in a short time, it would not be looked so lengthy. I thought it is slow motion film. Another thing is the story is just good to me. I learned something from the story but nothing is learned from anything or any section of the film without story and music, songs and emotional situation. Its genre is romanticism but there is crime action in the end a little. So, it is a crime romantic film to me. I noticed the film earns a huge amount of money by screening but in IMDb the rating point is very low. That appalls me greatly. I think a good review is good for a movie for the publication but bad review is always bad for the cinema. It's also a negative point for the movie. I just suggest to the audience to watch the movie for the popular songs and emotional situation or the story. Thanks
