was born in Argentina December 27, 1963
Ø He
is the son of Argentine painter, writer and intellectual Luis Felipe Noe.
Ø He
and his family emigrated to US in 1976, to avoid the tense, dangerous political
situation in Argentina at the time.
Ø They
lived in New York City for a short time, before moving to France. Noe graduated
from Louis Lumière College in France.
Inspirations for Filmmaking
Ø The
films of Stanley Kubrick are one source of inspiration for Noe.
Ø Noe
stated in Sight & Sound magazine that seeing 2001: A Space
Odyssey at the age of seven changed his life, without that experience he
would never have become a director.
Ø Noe
also cites the 1983 Austrian serial killer film, Angst, by Gerald Kargl, as a
major influence.
Ø Noe
made only 5 full length feature films, 10 short films and some music videos
till now.
