Simultaneously he is a legendary film maker, screenwriter, film artist, Lyricist and novel writer. He has written several good novels. His two famous cinemas are 'Golapi Ekhon Traine' (1978) and 'Bhat De' (1984). He has got Bangladesh National Film Award for the best director making these famous films. He had entered into the Film industry in 1961 through the film 'Harano Din' (1961) and 'Tomar Amar' (1961). He is also very popular for his television series in Bangladesh.
