| Mosharraf Karim and Nadia Ahmed in High Pressure 2 Drama |
Recently, a case of defamation has been lodged in
Cumilla against Mosharraf Karim, Jamil Hossain, Faruk Ahmed and the writer and
director of the drama ‘High Pressure 2 as well as YouTube Boishakhi TV.
Mohammad Rafikul Islam, the member of Cumilla advocate association has lodged
the affair against them. His complain is ‘I was watching High Pressure 2
written and directed by Adivasi Mizan on YouTube Boishakhi TV channel at 11 am
on 9th July. Advocates have been presented roughly from 35 to 50 and
130 to 150 minutes in the drama and have been ogled.’ He also said, ‘how much
price of two advocates? Low price’. These kinds of dialogues, he cannot
present. Advocates have been ogled. Advocates have been ogled and disrespected in
the matter. So, BDT 50 Crore has been fined for defamation’. Source

Actually, High Pressure 2 is a Bangladeshi TV
drama written and directed by Adivasi Mizan in 2018. The drama is starred by Mosharraf Karim, Jamil
Hossain, AKM Hasan, Nadia Ahmed, Romana Sarna and
others. In fact this drama is about consciousness of preventing from committing
suicide. Every year a lot of people die due to committing suicide. This drama I
think has played an important role to raise consciousness of preventing from
committing suicide. And Mosharraf karim as well as Faruk Ahmed have acted
nicely in the drama and have upheld the definite matter through this drama and
their performance.

I don’t want to say anything about case, court or
any political views but I must say one thing that film or drama is not like real
life. “What is drama?” I don’t ask myself. I ask you, beside you and the people
who say ‘A little learning is a dangerous thing’. In this case if Mosharraf Karim
is a victim, surely Shakespeare is also a victim for writing drama.
What is the
main purpose of drama, film, cinema, we say it movie. What does it mean? And what is the effect of
drama in real life? I just watched the drama recently after hearing the news of
defamation case. But there is no similarity of the advocate's words with the drama
dialogue. No evil or defamed words have been used in the drama. And some
characters or events or anything if have similarity must be coincidence.
“Every Character, place, time all are fictional. If any
character is mixed with any person or institution unwillingly, it will
completely be coincidence. For this, authority is not responsible.’
‘Entertainment, entertainment and only entertainment’
is the supreme purpose of drama. Audiences enjoy entertainment through drama,
film, cinema, and movie. It is like pamphlet or books or you as literature. Book is of a matter of
feeling and cinema is of a matter of movement of dream or idea.
Mosharraf Karim is a popular film and TV actor. He started
his acting skill from school theatre. He joined the theatre Troupe Nattokendro
in 1986 and had worked for 15 years. He came in TV drama in1999 with the drama Atithi
directed by Ferdous Hasan. Later he worked in different plays, telefilms,
drama serials like Vober Hat, 420, Kyarom and Ghor Kutum. He has
acted in the film Third Person Singular Number (2009) Tisha was a
co-artist. Besides, he has acted in Daruchini Dwip (2007) directed by Tauqir
Ahmed.
