Gabbar Singh (2012) is an Indian
Telugu action comedy film directed by Harish Shankar. The film is starred by Pawan
Kalyan and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles as hero and heroine and
some others in supporting characters. Gabbar Singh (2012) is an official remake
of the Indian Hindi action comedy film Dabangg (2010) directed by
Abhinav Singh Kashyap and starred by Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead
roles. Gabbar Singh is dubbed in Hindi as Policewala Gunda. The film
is released on 11th May, 2012 and becomes one of the highest grossing
Telugu films of all time. Sardar Gabbar Singh (2016) is a sequel
of the film Gabbar Singh (2012).
Plot/Synopsis:
Inspired by a film character from Sholay (1975), a boy
leaving his house, family and becomes a policeman. He is posted in his own
village where he falls in love with a drunkard’s daughter. A local thug wants
to join politics and lures his stepbrother to join.
Specialty:
I went through some reviews written by some critics’. They actually
say, ‘excellent movie for Pawan Kalyan. Complete awesomeness in every frame. Better
than the original. In a wordit is a blockbuster.’ Many people say it is a film
of Pawa mannerism. Many people’s rating 8/9 out of 10.that’s so awesome for a
movie like this kind of remake movie. Shruti’ Haasan’s looks gorgeous and
awesome performance. On the other hand Pawan Kalyan’s performance, dialogue and
acting skill are marvelous. Some comedy scenes are ingredients to laugh
watching the movie. Romantic scenes are less but they are the heart of the
movie. Ali, Brahmandam’s comedy performances are attractive to be more
comfortable. Pawan Kalyan’s powerful acting and punching dialogues are always
extra ordinary. The effects and GFX are mind blowing. Does this film rarely
bore you? No way. That’s your personal answer. But when most of the audience
say it a boring movie, this will be a boring one. It does not matter whether it
is boring or not. I have just read another review. I want to share this with
you all. If you differentiate the acting of Pawan from Shruti, what will affect
in your mind? If any heroine had been taken instead of Shruti Haasan, I think,
it would not have affected any effect in her role. But Pawan’s role is not changeable.
Only the Pawan Kalyan’s fans can feels his acting and punching dialogues. Heroines
or female characters are taken in Indian cinema only for glorious view. What do
you think? Why is female character taken in Indian cinema? Think, think! And extremely
think! I suppose, you will get the 100% right answer. Where in English cinema,
female characters are taken in the central role, while in Indian cinema always male
characters are taken in central role. Why? Male gaze! That’s right.
