(2019) directed by L. Luresh in 2019.
'Valobashar Jala' movie's poster is copied from 'Neeya 2' (2019) |
At first no one knew that it is a
copied story but after seeing the similarity between the two posters of ‘Neeya
2’ and ‘Valobashar Jala’ , they have understood that ‘Valobashar Jala’
has been copied from ‘Neeya 2’ (2019). It is a spiritual
successor and released on 24 May, 2019 in India. ‘Neeya 2’ is a sequel
of the Tamil language film ‘Neeya’ (1979) directed by Durai in
1979. But ‘Neeya’ is a remake of the Indian Hindi film ‘Nagin’ (1976)
directed by Rajkumar Kohli in 1976 and produced by himself under the banner
of Shankar Movies. But ‘Nagin’ (1976) Hindi film is inspired from
the French film The Bride Wore Black (1968) directed by the auteur filmmaker
Francois Truffaut in 1968 based on the same name novel written by Cornell
Woolrich and published in 1940. However, some other films have been remade
inspired from the story. For example; a Telugu movie ‘Devathalara
Deevinchandi (1977) directed by Rommineni Seshagiri Rao, Indian Kannada
film Naagini (1991) is also remade inspired from the story with Geetha
as Nagin character.
Some directors of
Bangladesh take copied story from an unknown source but they are caught in the
beginning of the release of the remade movie. Audiences are not even foolish in
these days. They are now conscious of world cinema. So, if they want to remake a
film, they should declare the news that it’s a remake from the (….) movie. But
they are always over smart and want to show this. But always they fail to earn
audience’s attention to their films. It is also one of the main causes of decreasing
development of Bangladesh film industry. Why would people watch films? They would
watch even remake. Most of the countries make remake film but the directors
before declare the news. They do not want to cheat with the audiences. But in Bangladesh,
the directors in one side cannot make creative script on the other side copying
a story; they do not inform the news of remake to the media. That means they
always want to cheat with the audiences. These cheating minded directors should
not stay in the film industry.
