Rickshaw Girl is a
Bangladeshi film directed by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury. The film is produced by
Eric James Adams while Faridur Reza Sagor and Ziauddin Adil are jointly executive
producers under the production companies Sleeperwave Films, Half Stop Down and
Top of Mind. The film is based on the same name book written by Mitali Perkins. The screenplay
is written by Naseef Faruque Amin and Shorbari Zohra Ahmed.

The cinematographers
of the film are Niclas Ribbarp and Tuhin Tamijul and film editor is Navnita
Sen. The film stares Novera Rahman as the lead character besides Shakib Khan,
Champa, Naresh Bhuiyan, Momena Chowdhury Allen Shubhro and others in some
important roles. Novera Rahman playes her as Naima, the elder daughter of a rickshaw
puller, struggles for extra earning to support her father and family. Here Naima
is an independent and free girl who has grown up in a village with drawing ‘rangolis’. Shooting of the film has been done across the
country especially in Pabna and Gazipur and other places for four months. It is
first collaboration of Dhallywood star Shakib Khan and Bangladeshi
prominent film director Amitabh
Reza Chowdhury. This film is made with the vision to heighten the quality
productions of Bangladesh film industry on the international platforms. The first
film poster of ‘Rickshaw Girl’ has been released today. In the colorful
poster Naima, the lead character is seen in the med frame wearing red sash
in the head and yellow background.
