Poramon 2 (2018) Bengali movie review_BD Films Info Poramon 2 is a Bangladeshi Romantic drama film directed by Raihan Rafi in 2018. The director has directed another film called Dahan in the same year. The researchers, the scholars or the audiences will judge the good the bad or the ugly between the two movies. But I think Dahan is more powerful and stronger in the sector of cinematic style than Poramon 2. I don't want to share the plot summary here. Because the readers can get it anywhere. I just want to share my own opinion, or comments or reviews here. Mistakes of the film: I have divided the movie between two parts. One is the perfect sector and the other is weakness. At first I want to share the weakness of the film. It's a romantic drama but I can divide it into crime dram genre. In the film Poramon 2 a female character named Jasmin was hanging or committing suicide near a tree. There, the sound effect of the rope is unnatural or effect is high. It is a weakness or fault in the movie. Then at the time of Fazar Azaan, Norshed (Bapparaj) tells his brother Sujon Shah (Siam) to go to mosque for reading. But At that time someone does not go to read in the mosque. It is the time of Prayer. In others, Norshed goes towards the mosque with his brother. But at the of of a river Norshed gives his brother Islamic Advice. But he urinates on the water of the river. But in Islam, It is unethical. I know the background of the movie specially about Norshed's family. But no one in the village as a Muslim won't urinate on the water though it is good or bad. It is also a great mistake in the movie. Another on is when the people of the village in movie come to Sujon Shah's Cinema hall, they enjoy Sujon Shah's performance. But the fault is here that the audiences are looking at the camera, if they earlier did not see any camera. In another scene, in the dialogue " Sun is setting'. Ok, I accept that sun is setting but it is afternoon then why darkness is not coming there? It is a mistake. In the movie we see Sujon and Pori's childhood. But after 10 years, Jasmin's father's (Fazlur Rahman Babu) make up is changing. It is good here. But why Sujon's brother Norshed's make up is not changing? Is he different here? Time is changing not 1, not 2, 10 years. So, Young person's make up will be changed normally. But in the movie it is not noticed. I think the director did not give importance here. I also think in one time, doing a work with another is very tough. But the director has directed two movies. So, he did not make good plan for both movies. Besides, there are a lot of jump cuts in the movie. Overacting of the characters, dialogue not fluent or extra dialogue that is not needed there, no emotion in the film, a slow motion film, need tight editing in the film. I don't want to say that it is a just waste of time. Because every film is inspiration, something I learn from film though it is good or bad. I can get a message from the film. But when I see the making style is not perfect, it disappoints me. But I get something from the film. Extra dialogue is a great mistake of the film and there is no natural movement of the characters in the film while they say dialogue. Naturalism is the first step for a drama film. But overacting and extra dialogue is not needed here. Besides, It is a slow motion film. It;s a lengthy full time film. But the audience can not get the emotion for the lengthiness. A bus in Meherpur, but the license is under Khulna. It is also a mistake. The perfect sections of the film are : I think the songs are very powerful here. And I can not believe that where the characters are not performing in the dialogue scene fluently but in the song's scene they have performed well. I think the songs and character's performance are good. I like the cinematography. Shot divisions and variation of the shot and mise en scene are very good. If i justify the characterization, the characters did not enter into their characters. Before I watched Noor Jahaan (2018). I did not notice any change of Puja Charry's performance. In both movie she just acts or say dialogue in her own style but can not enter into the character. Overall I want to share a message that the film is the first film of the new director Raihan Rafi. It's his first challenge. For the first time, taking such kinds of risk here in Bangladesh is very challenging for him. But the next film Dahan is more powerful and strong in story and making style.
